It's been some time, so let me take a minute to either reintroduce myself or make a first introduction. My name is Vernita Patterson, but to my friends and family, I'm known as Nina. I've retired from my role as an Assistant Principal with the NYCDOE ten years ago and currently live in Florida. I'm the proud parent of an adult daughter and son and the loving grandmother of one beautiful granddaughter—all of whom I adore with all my heart!

After retiring, I started a new venture by founding Retired&Lovinit, a business dedicated to empowering those on the cusp of retirement or already retired with a mission to ensure individuals are emotionally prepared for this new chapter in their lives.

And because of my passion for travel, I became a certified travel advisor and owner of my own travel company, TravelStateofMind. I specialize in crafting unforgettable vacations for retirees and/or empty nesters.
