Living The Dream! 5 Must-See Destinations For Retirees
Updated: Mar 4, 2024

Now that you are Retired&Lovinit, the world is yours to explore! Where will you start? We've got five destinations that should be on your bucket list!
Retired life truly is living the dream. You've worked hard to make sure you provided for everyone, you raised a family and watched them grow, and now you finally have time to yourself. Time to enjoy, to be free and do what you want, to go where you want to go. So... where do you want to go?
Retirement is the perfect time to start checking off your bucket list, but if you haven't made your list yet(or you want to add to it), we have five suggestions for you.
Switzerland--- Like something out of a children's story book, Switzerland is the land of castles, rugged mountain peaks, gently rolling green hills, and crystalline lakes. In addition to its jaw-dropping natural beauty, Switzerland has city-life to satisfy all tastes. Whether you prefer the medieval charm of Lucerne, the art and museums of Basel, or the modern bustle of Zurich, be sure to sample some of the world-famous chocolate! Want to see as much as possible in comfort? Try a train journey through the Alps or a cruise down the Rhine.
Jamaica--- If you're looking for a tropical paradise, Jamaica is the perfect spot for you. This beautiful country has everything you could desire in an island escape. Exquisite beaches to relax on as you let the sun melt your cares away. Tantalizing cuisine to enliven your senses(be sure to try the jerk chicken). Lush rainforests to explore, as you marvel at the wonder of nature. Friendly locals, great music (it's the birthplace of reggae, after all!), and an abundance of natural beauty-need we say more?
Mexico---Many might find planing a trip to Mexico a bit intimidating, but the trick is knowing where to go (or, better yet, booking with me, of course). There are lots of fabulous all-inclusive resorts to choose from, making your trip to Mexico safe and easy. How adventurous you get is entirely up to you. You can lounge by a pool with a book on the water for a snorkeling tour. It's up to you. Just make sure you come hungry, as the food is out of this world-honestly, we'd go to Mexico for the food alone.
Barcelona--- Can't decide if you want to lay on a beach all day or spend time exploring a city? Why should you have to choose? Head to Barcelona and you can do both. Wander Las Ramblas for shopping and snacking on tapas and wine. Visit La Sagrada Familia, the Gaudi Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, know fo its uniquely beautiful architecture and the fact that it's been under construction since 1882. When you're tired of exploring, refresh yourself with some beach time on one of Barcelona's many gorgeous beaches.
Amsterdam--- Known for being a popular destination for young travelers for various, ahem, reasons, Amsterdam is so much more than its reputation. This stunning city of canals is home to museums, art galleries, and unique experiences. Take a boat tour of the canals, then visit Heineken Brewery to learn how the famous beer is made. Admire the works of Rembrandt and Van Gogh at the Rijksmuseum. Head out of the city in the Spring to the tulip fields- they'll take your breath away. There's even a museum for the world's oldest profession in the infamous Red Light District, if you're curious (you know you are).
Now that you have all the time in the world to explore, get out there and see as much of it as you can. These five destinations are just the beginning of what's available out there for you to see. It's your life to enjoy as you please now, so start making the most of it!!!
