It has been awhile, so let me take a minute to either reintroduce myself or make a first time introduction. My name is Vernita Patterson, but to my friends and family, I am known as Nina. I am the proud mother of two adult children and the loving grandmother of one beautiful and talented granddaughter---all of whom I adore. Originally from the one and only borough of Brooklyn,New York, I now reside in Florida. I devoted many years to shaping young minds as an educator within the NYCDOE.

After retiring from a rewarding career in education,I started Retired&Lovinit- a welcoming platform for helping others to prepare emotionally for the life of retirement. This initiative helped me to connect with other retirees and soon to be retirees and emptynesters, encouraging exploration, fulfillment, and making the most out of the retired life.

The passion that I have always had for travel and always enjoying helping others, my enthusiasm was taken to a new level by becoming a certified travel advisor. I am a dynamic and passionate travel advisor who has turned a rich career in education into a thrilling new adventure in the world of travel. Through my company TravelStateofMind, I craft individualized travel experiences that combine relaxation, culture and adventure tailored to each person's unique preferences and needs.
